Gameday Shuttle Returns to Downtown Storrs

Free rides for hoops fans from Downtown Storrs to the UConn Campus

The shuttle stops in Downtown Storrs about every 10 minutes.

November 5, 2026: With the return of basketball to Storrs this weekend, residents and visitors can expect more traffic on gamedays, but they don’t have to sit in it: The Mansfield Downtown Partnership is pleased to announce the return of its popular Gameday Shuttle presented by Homefield!

Fans can hop on the Gameday Shuttle presented by Homefield in Downtown Storrs for a free ride to the UConn Storrs campus for every UConn basketball game – men’s and women’s – at the M&T Bank Center at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.

The shuttle is free to ride and made possible with the generous support of Homefield, Haven Hot Chicken, Huskies Restaurant & Bar, LAZ, and Gansett Wraps.

Fans can park in the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage (33 Royce Circle). For men’s games the shuttle will pick up fans outside the Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center (23 Royce Circle, adjacent to the garage). Fans heading to the women’s games will find the shuttle outside of Homefield Connecticut (1 Royce Circle, just around the corner from the garage).

The Gameday Shuttle presented by Homefield will start approximately 60 minutes prior to tip-off and continue through the game until approximately 60 minutes after the final buzzer.

“With our Gameday Shuttle, fans can enjoy a great meal at one of Downtown Storrs’ nearly 30 restaurants, pick up their favorite UConn gear at Homefield Connecticut, and catch a free ride right to the M&T Bank Center at Gampel Pavilion. We’re excited to make the gameday experience easier, more convenient, and even more fun!”
— Steven Ferrigno, Executive Director of the Mansfield Downtown Partnership, Inc.

Fans can make a day of it by stopping by Homefield Connecticut to pick up some new Huskies gear and then head to one of nearly thirty restaurants in Downtown Storrs for a bite to eat before the games. To see a full directory of dining options, please visit downtownstorrs.org/dine.

“I’m glad the Gameday Shuttle is back! It is the perfect way to get to a UConn basketball game. I highly encourage all UConn basketball fans to take advantage of this excellent service provided by Downtown Storrs businesses. It’s a convenient, affordable, fun, and stress-free way to enjoy game day.”
— Jillene Woodmansee, Husky fan

Parking in the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage is free for the first two hours and just $1/hour thereafter during daytime hours (6AM – midnight).

The Nash-Zimmer Transportation Center adjoins the garage and is a stop of several regional bus lines, including CTtransit. CTtransit’s 913 Hartford/Buckland/Storrs Express offers daily service between Hartford and Downtown Storrs, allowing fans to skip the drive altogether. Visit cttransit.com for their schedules.

The Gameday Shuttle presented by Homefield will be available for every regular men’s and women’s basketball game played at Gampel Pavilion, beginning November 8 and continuing through February 28.
